On this Week in Rock and Roll History 1979
On this week in Rock and Roll History 1979, Blondie's Heart of Glass goes platinum and number one in numerous countries tossing the New York City band into Pop Super-stardom.
The song which was originally recorded as a light ditty entitled 'Once I had a Love' was reconstructed by producer Mike Chapman who created the perfect mix that would make the band, the song and the face of Blondie Iconic.
We pay tribute to a band and song that has influenced the world with their unconventional artistry doing so with a lead vocalist that changed the way woman were allowed to be seen.

"there's the always luminous Deborah Harry, who would give boiling asparagus an erotic charge, all while looking too bored to live".
