Moulin Rouge - A Decade Later
Well kiddas, I must admit, I'm giddy with excitement as news came in that co-stars from the epic 2001 musical film "Moulin Rouge" will be appearing in a special 10 year anniversary celebration on MTV.
Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, and John Leguizamo are coming together along with director Baz Luhrmann to unveil a program hosted by Josh Horowitz called, Moulin Rouge At 10: A Spectacular Spectacular MTV News Event! It broadcasts tomorrow on May 2 (Monday), at 3PM ET on MTV.com
Moulin Rouge is not only responsible for the revival of the musical film genre back in 2001, but its the main reason why I dove head first in admiration and fell in love with some great classics along the way thereafter. "Moulin Rouge" is a little bit fantasy, a little bit drama, and a whole lotta pizazz!
I simply adore musicals. That should come to no surprise for some of you devoted and beautiful readers. From the days when I first watched Cary Grant sing in the rain. To Audrey Hepburn's declaration that she, "never thought I'd land in pictures with a face like mine", it's been a visual musical feast ever since.
