Jill Scott Is 'So In Love'

Jill Scott has returned with her tune "So In Love" with Anthony Hamilton and this time around, she's calling it her official first single off the highly anticipated fourth album, "The Light Of The Sun" due for a summer release. A stellar collaboration makes for an explosive mesh made of heart n soul and there is no doubt that this makes for a perfect one.

Indulge in all the soulfulness below kiddas.

Jill Scott

Jill Scott brings the right amount of sass and attitude on her new single "Shame", after recently signing with Warner Bros Records on a new distribution deal. This comes as a sigh of relief for me since there was originally conflict between Jill and her former label. After being sued and later counter-suing her former record label, Hidden Beach Media, us fans were left wondering, will we ever hear new sounds from the great Miss Scott?

Well, like with any natural talent, conniving business folks can only keep us down for so long. Our reign always returns in due time. Neo/Soul singer-songwriter-poet-actress, Jill Scott, exemplifies this notion perfectly. She is ready to deliver and move away from her past. Her upcoming album entitled, "The Light Of The Sun", is scheduled for release in early summer. Get a taste of this new offering featuring former 'Ruff Ryders' rapper Eve, as Jill sends a message to her former label and naysayers,
" I tried and tried to make you understand, you don’t believe it. It’s a shame! You’re missing out on all the good things, you can’t see a damn thing! aha! Maybe I got it all together, that you think, maybe I do! Cause oh, i’m fresh and cold. I can find on my own, i’m magnificent!"

Hollah! Don't we understand this feeling all to well kiddas? This is when I insert a famed quote I like to share from time to time, "Why Do People Destroy What Was Once Nice, And Wonder Why It's Not Nice Anymore".

Dig all the raw and sassiness Jill has to offer below.

Have A Very Merry Birthday Miss Jill Scott!!!

Jill Scott was born April 5, 1972. She's a Soul and R&B singer-songwriter, poet, and actress. She was responsible for 2001's infamous neo-soul movement alongside Alicia Keys, India Arie, & Amel Larrieux. Miss Scott is quite the singer who blends jazz, R&B, blues, spoken word, and hip hop among other genres in order to manifest a unique style. Her vocal capabilities are so rich and powerful that I expect to hear more soulful melodies for more decades to come. We salute you Miss Scott!

Scope out a spellbinding performance of Jill at the Soul Train awards some 8 years ago. The vocals and passion she delivers are truly incomparable! Like I always say, their ain't nothing like a good serving of soul musique.

Tune: "Hate On Me". We've all been down this road kiddas. When you have family or friends who are jealous of one's success and blessings. A sometime sad world we live in. But alas, we have tunes like this one to empower motivate and remind us were not alone.

Tune: A Long Walk

Here's a favorite tune of mine off Jill's last album, "The Real Thing: Words and Sounds vol 3."
