Warren Beatty 'Checkmates' All Fashion Contenders With This Suit!

Warren Beatty 'checkmates' all fashion contenders during the late 1960's with this impeccable checkered suit. The exact year was 1968 and Warren was everywhere at the time because of the success of "Bonnie and Clyde", a film which co-starred the equally breathtaking and striking Faye Dunaway.

The checkered suit parred along with a black turtleneck is right up my alley kiddas. Having worn on multiple occasions such similar looks, just substituting the checks with maybe a plaid or houndstooth textile finish. Haper's Bazaar magazine released this issue on February of 1968 and you can get bet your petticoat bottom it was smashing edition.

Have A Very Merry Birthday Mister Warren Beatty!!!

Old Hollywood Legend Warren Beatty was born today, on March 30 in 1937. If you are unfamiliar with his repertoire as an American actor, producer, screenwriter and director than all you need to know is to pick-up the very first film he made under Elia Kazan's direction and opposite Natalie Wood in "Splendor in the Grass". The movie was and still is gold. A definite favorite in my film archive.

Later, he achieved critical acclaim and power as a producer and star of "Bonnie and Clyde" in 1967. Which was nominated for 10 Academy Awards. Because of his work on Bonnie and Clyde, Beatty is generally regarded as the precursor of the New Hollywood generation, which included such filmmakers as Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Martin Scorsese.

Then in 1990, he bounced back when he produced, directed and starred in the saucy film, which as a young lad I'd seen over a hundred times, "Dick Tracy". He played perfectly as the comic strip character title Dick. The film was one of the highest grossers of that year and also the highest-grossing film in Beatty's career to date. Congrats Warren on your special day.

Warren Beatty Takes Actress Julie Christie To The Met

Warren Beatty demonstrates in the photo opt above, how a scarf should be worn. Whether made of silk, like the one Beatty's strutting or may it be any choice of color or style of your own, one thing is for sure, a scarf adds a stellar finish. It was the early 1970s, and Warren Beatty, alongside former co-star Julie Christie, attended an event at the MET. The two hollywood legends made quite a splash walking hand in hand as they gandered around the museum.

Warren Beatty Interviw.

Classic Aussie comedy with Norman Gunston. "He had his own comedy program, but used to do these unannounced interviews at big press conferences. What's remarkable is that all the other journalists in the room, at all of his interviews, are too busy laughing to interrupt with their own questions."
