Joan Collins Out, Jane Seymour In!

According to fashion writer Leah Chernikoff, "
Every entertainment news show is lining up their royal wedding coverage. After all, Kate Middleton and Wills’ big day is just under a month and a half away now.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ET had initially looked at Joan Collins to be its correspondent for the big day (which would be awesome). Unfortunately, when OG diva Collins allegedly demanded a first-class ticket to London from LA, the show set their sights on someone else. Now Jane Seymour will cover the wedding for ET and Sharon Osbourne will be The Insider‘s lady on the scene (though we’d rather watch her daughter Kelly)."

We have to say, we agree 100% with Leah. Although, it makes more sense on a business level having Ms. Sharon Osbourne cover the wedding because most viewers watching will relate to Sharon's age demographic. Therefore, suiting her much better.

From Seymour to ET...“I was able to speak to Prince William’s private secretary. [I asked] ‘what would Prince William and Catherine want us to know about them?’ And he said their personal friends were all told to not talk to anyone, but let [him] have a think. About two days later I got this wonderful e-mail with four names and the invitation to talk to them about various things. And I think these are things that are very interesting and will be very interesting to the public…I just thought, wouldn’t it be great to actually [cover] this with someone and do it properly and actually get the inside scoop!”

From Osbourne...“[Princess Diana] and I used to go to the same hairdressers. She was very sunny. She lit up a room and had the most beautiful smile. [The English] adore Prince William because he is so much like Diana…I am so excited to be part of the family to help bring [viewers] the biggest story on both sides of the pond since Princess Diana said ‘I do!’”
