Agyness Deyn Coming To A Theatre Near You!
Oh Agy, how I love thee! One of the first women responsible for the resurgence of the 'super model' look in the 21st century, model/singer and now apparent actress, Agyness Deyn, has been casted in her very first leading film role portraying a stripper named 'Flo' according to sources. The film is a re-make of the mid 1990's film, "Pusher". The synopsis deals with the life of a drug dealer named Frank who helps Flo (Agy) flee the country of Copenhagen.
Director, Luis Prieto, divulged to Britsh Vogue that he had no clue who Agy was before he casted her. This news makes me beam with joy kiddas. Apparently it was based all on talent and a spectacular audition. As it should always be in this industry. Fame for those who do nothing and have no talents need to step to the back of the line. The film is tentatively set to film in Shoreditch, London and has a S/S release for next year of 2012.
Agy is responsible for being my model muse and overall influence in fashion, and with this news, it's safe to say Agyness Deyn is back. From model to stripper, sounds like the film will have Agy in gritty situations and more importantly we'll see her stretching her talent wings even further with this new project. Hoorah Agy!
Here's Agy's first and last single she ever released some 2 years ago with the band Five O'Clock Heroes. Still a constant repeat on my ipod till this day (not to mention streaming on my playlist on here for quite sometime now)
Five O'Clock Heroes' interview with Agy.
